shakespeare Stratford on Avon Shakespeares birthplace. Thatched cottages, England at its most charming. A three hour journey from London's Euston Station, change at Birmingham New Street or else from London Marylebone Station with no changing trains.

windsor castle Windsor CastleThe largest inhabited castle in England. A must see destination. Take a boat trip along the Thames whilst you are there. A short train or bus journey from London.

bath Bath on the edge of the Cotswolds. Pulteney Bridge, The Royal Crescent, The Roman Baths and Hotsprings. If booking a train ticket online the destination station is Bath Spa, departing from London Paddington. Journey train approx. 90 minutes.

stonehenge Stonehenge On Salisbury Plain in the West of England. Some of the most famous standing stones in the world. Many London day trips take a coach and combine Stonehenge with a visit to Bath and the Cotswolds.

canterbury-cathedral Canterbury with its majestic Cathedral dating from Norman times-on every tourist's must see list.

york-minster Beautiful York , the Jorvik Viking Centre, the Minster, half timbered buildings, lots to see and do. Trains leave from London Kings Cross for the 2 hour rail journey.

Bristol Home of the SS Great Britain. Bath and the Cotswolds only a short drive away

There are even day trips advertised to the Lake District or Edinburgh , but our advice is to stay overnight. GNER run fast trains for the 5 hour journey to Scotland departing at roughly hourly intervals.
